Snarry was one of those pairings that when I went into the fandom, I knew of it, but I thought "Yech! I don't want to read that!", but I came around to it later on, partly because I was very into the Harry/[Older Male] pairings and that ended up with Snarry along the way.

But then I wandered off in LotR (where I had another pairing that I reacted the same to), and didn't come back to HP until Transformers drove me back to reading het fic, so I was in a totally different pairing region of the fandom to Snarry anyway.
