Okay, I'll agree to the possibility of number 42 being a home wrecker, and I can't say I like what she's doing...but calling the man in question a pedophile? Particularly after saying that you find S&M hot? I'm going to assume you're American, because in almost every other first world coutry she's past the age of consent. LONG past it in quite a few of them.

17 =/= child. pedophile= someone attracted to children. Therefore, the man in question =/= pedophile.

I don't think the S&M thing has anything to do with the pedo thing, but I do agree that the term "pedo" is misused. I suppose if you're following the "MUST BE 18+" law literally... maybe that can be termed as a pedophile?

There are certain exceptions to the age of consent, because I think that in Texas, she is if the guy was 20 and under but since he is 35 she not. Or something like that.

I think it's going too far to call 42 'fucking sick'. The man may be a good deal older than her, but attraction to older men is COMMON with younger women. Or have you not chatted about professors with a bunch of your girlfriends in highschool or uni?
What she is doing is inconsiderate and dishonest, but I don't believe her attraction is sick. It's unfortunate that she's at such a young age that the likelihood of the man being interested in her with honest and trustworthy intentions don't seem great to me.

Being attracted to someone below the age of consent is not the same as being a pedophile. I probably wouldn't support the relationship in question either, but the guy is not a pedophile unless he is attracted to children--as in, people who have not reached puberty, not people who are legally minors.

Incidentally, this applies to the "accidental pedo" secret too. Yes, the age difference might make your attraction seem kind of creepy, but you're not a pedo, dude.
