Often, I just go for the most ironic match. That's part of what makes it fun. Like Odette, for instance. What could be more ironic than your quintessential cursed princess in need of her 'prince charming' eventually becoming a femme fatal who can kick ass and tease authority figures? And then I imagine the confrontation between her and the Evil Sorcerer, and how much he would be pwned. It makes me smile.

Odette is too perfect and viginial to be Rangiku, though. I don't know. What happened that made her want to unbutton her top, I wonder?

Well, (in my little fantasy) she doesn't have any memories of actually being Odette. To my knowledge, most of the residents of Soul Society quickly lose the memories of their human lives.

And it's Odette's perfect, virginal-ness that makes the idea of her becoming Rangiku so entertaining to me.
