How the fuck did he mistreat his daughter?

NAYRT

I always got "Yer hot like yer mom, smarmywink" vibes from him, comics and movie. And wasn't she kind of crushing on him for a like a minute, too?

Then, it also seemed like Silk Spectre did her best, but was kinda messed up after being raped and having his child, keeping it a secret from everyone, and still having to work with him, which can't have been great for her psyche. As much as she may have tried to shield her daughter from it, something had to slip through occasionally. That's not directly the Comedian, but I do lay it at his feet, since he was the cause of it all, and it's not like he did anything to help.

He wasn't hitting on his daughter, he was trying to get to know her. The official rpg book by Moore showed that he was going to tell Laurie he loved her before he died.

Also Laurie was conceived via an affair afterwards. It's made pretty clear from the chapter where she finds out.
