Just don't go shopping. I've never been shopping on Black Friday in my life. If enough people don't do it, it won't be a thing. In the US, there's a big backlash against stores trying to start the sales on Thursday and making their employees work on Thanksgiving, to the point that companies advertize that they will be closed Thanksgiving because it's good publicity. REI even stays closed on Black Friday.
