Yeah, but there's a difference between saying "I know I'm a good writer" and saying "I'm really good!" Pride can be totally justified and I'm not doubting that it is, just saying. *dies*

Though -- I don't actively view crits as flames, but I'm probably one of those people that don't try at all to improve their abilities. But that's mostly because I'm happy where I am. Really crappy things getting praised like hell annoys me too, though. >>"

9. Half of it is because of obscure fandoms or because they don't 'ship what the vast majority does.

Yeah, that's probably it. I guess if you don't write for the flavor of the week, then nobody cares.

Like I said to grayout, I should have reworded the secret a bit to focus less on the people who write and draw, and more on the ones who just don't try to improve.

Still, I'm pissed to see people getting praised for half-assed stuff. Kinda makes me want to stop trying so hard... *almost*

P.S. I've seen your art. I really like it.

2. PREACH ON, BROTHER! (or sister, or whatever)! A masculine uke and a feminine-yet-aggresively-male seme? Oh hell yeah, bring it. Real men take it how they want it and screw the rest of you. >3

3. That happens to me a lot. Haven't finished SMT:N, haven't finished SRWOG, haven't finished Katamari... the list just goes on.

7. It's understandable. It's perfectly possible to feel lonely in a crowd.

9. The laws of popularity, I guess? I dunno, I don't trawl a lot of y! outside of my fandoms and I very rarely ever know what kind of drama's going on because I just don't CARE. Sure, it stinks that lousy artists/writers are popular, but that makes those who choose to read/look at/review the really good stuff all the more precious and special. :3

10. I don't know any BNFs in my fandom per se, but there are some scary damn groups out there that'll bash you if you look at them funny or do something with a ship they don't like. X_x Whatever happened to 'live and let live'?

[identity profile] liltigre.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
"I will have you in my ass at gunpoint, fucking seme."

..... that is the most beautiful thing I've seen all day. ♥

[identity profile] grayout.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
10 - THE BNFS ATE IT

What groups are out there? I'm curious. *dies* Oh yeah, and it wasn't mine or anything >>"

[identity profile] grayout.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
Hiruma gets what he wants! :D

[identity profile] liltigre.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
Amen! :D ♥Personally, I like the switches- where they don't give a damn about who tops or bottoms- as long as they're having fun, who cares?

.... though the wrangling between two guys over who goes where is bot hot and incredibly amusing to me, for some reason.

[identity profile] shahrizai.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
That's why I like Gerard et Jacques. Seriously, when they have to flee, they dress the seme up as a woman because he's prettier than the physically hard-working uke.

10. I can believe it!

There's several, but I've only had a run-in with one. Word of advice- the pre-DoC LJ Reeve fandom? Some of them don't play nice with others. >_> I very nearly dropped one of my big comic projects because of the hate-mail I got over it.

[identity profile] grayout.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
The only Reeve fan I know of are like, you'n Merc. *dies* There was a pre-DoC Reeve fandom? What do they even bother hate-mailing about?

[identity profile] liltigre.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
There is, indeed! A fringe of the 'Shinra rules j00' fans, I suppose. It's a very long and massively retarded story, but the gist of it was they did not much like my character portrayals- my Reeve was OOC, according to them, but my portrayal of Vincent, on the other hand, they ripped apart. Apparently all Turks are whores and any of them being disturbed or upset by the idea of sexual assault is OOC because they like it. Or something. I still don't get it.

[identity profile] grayout.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
You mean you don't like being molested and/or raped? FREAK.

[identity profile] liltigre.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
;_; I know! I'm a horrible person! I just do it to spite everyone!

5. - WHAT, DID I MISS SOMETHING? AHHA, I never finished the game, but let me tell ya: I like Mitsunari for his personality more than his looks--it's a dominant coverage to mask his feminine looks. I LIKE THAT--so I roleplay him here and there for his personality alone. Ieyasu is WIN x359016136 though. I LOVE HIM. WHY DO PEOPLE HATE HIM? Just because he's a REAL man doesn't mean he doesn't deserve appreciation. Just gtfo those haters. :(((

As a Mitsunari RPer, I completely agree to with those comments above (that's how I play him; ohoho)!

2. I don't play ukes, probably because I don't think I could write bottom if I wanted to. I do, however, write semes with many different personalities. They all just, well... enjoy giving, more than receiving.

Which leads me to agree with you. Ranmaru can be pretty and still like giving it. ;; It's all preference, man, and not much determines that.

Takaba doesn't have much of a personality, and no, neither does Asami. They're rather stereotypical. However, I think Asami's a little more interesting because of his past and the fact that his motives are always so shrouded in mystery. I don't think he'll ever be developed, but, at least he's more likable than Takaba.

I can't believe you didn't guess who wrote this. I'm a ****ing NINJA.

3. I don't finish most video games, simply because I have a -lot- of them and a very short attention span. >>

[identity profile] autophobia.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
OKAY FINE YOU WIN. I thought it was pretty damned obvious. ;;; I had a friend come to the page, and he picked it out in one glance. ;;;; So you must be TOTALLY fried.

(Anonymous) 2007-02-19 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
4.) It's because he's not "bishie" like Mitsunari.

[identity profile] zhoutaisdayoff.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
You're probably one of the more mature Mitsunari fans I seen.

[identity profile] autophobia.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
I know. It's not really a *secret*, more of me just ranting. But I needed to post it because it is the only thing I will EVER POST, I'm sure. ;;; I'mtooopen.

I figured he'd think it was you. ILU2~. :D

Damn, man. Please don't tell me you been reading Weaver's fics.
