If you were around back then.

That was my first gaming system! We got it for Christmas when I was 5 or so. The game it came with was Super Mario World. We never had loads of games, they were pretty expensive, but we'd rent a lot - still, I'd have to say my favorite remains Super Mario World. It's really an awesome game with lots of content for the time.

Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country. Best games ever!

Also, I played this one game that had like...painting and where you could make songs using Nintendo sounds. No idea what it was though.

Mario Paint! My sister and I were talking about it yesterday. It was a ton of fun back then.

I wonder how it'd hold up now?

Probably not well. Maybe Nintendo will make a mini-version of the SNES next.

Super Mario RPG! I still break that out from time to time.

I'm also a sucker for Link to the Past, F-Zero, and Pilotwings. LttP is one of my top 3 Zeldas; F-Zero remains one of the most fun, clean, playable racing games around for me; Pilotwings is just weirdly relaxing to mess around in.

Illusion of Gaia and Secret of Evermore! (And thus began my life long obsession with JRPGs...)

Turtles In Time! We always used to fight over who got to be Donatello. Also Golden Eye was awesome.

Turtles in Time was mad good fun for playing with school friends. Such nostalogie.

Mario Kart

Honestly, we had this stupid casino game that I just remember being a family bonding moment.

Plus the typical Mario games (Mario Kart and Super Mario Bros)

Super Metroid, hands down.

Mortal Kombat 2.

Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, the Donkey Kong Country series, Unirally/Uniracers and Radical Rex all come to mind. (I didn't get into Super Mario RPG for 20 plus years due to the whole PAL version never being a thing until ported to the Wii virtual console.)

Earthbound

Sim City, and a Yoshi's Island-themed Tetris game.

Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, and Chrono Trigger. Though I didn't play Chrono Trigger until I was a preteen/young teen.

Zela A Link to the Past, Mario games, Metroid...

Hell, nintendo had a lot of good games on the SNES.
