Mouse Hunt because I thought I'd die from having a dead mouse fall into my meal.

The Rankin/Bass Hobbit. The scene where Bilbo's taunting Smaug always really upset/scared me as a kid because I just knew something awful was going to happen to him! Even if he ended up fine.

Does Gremlins count as a horror movie? Because that movie TERRIFIED me as a child.

They played it on TBS all the time and I was so frightened of it for years

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. That movie is probably why I have such an intense fear of insects.

Yeah both climatic scenes in Raiders and Crusade scared the bejezus out of me. Weirdly I didn't watch Temple of Doom until many years later.

Land Before Time when Cera is hitting the Sharptooth in his head and then the dino's eye opens. I need to remake the GIFset of that.

Also, most of The Neverending Story was scary. Gmork, the Nothing, Artax. :C

The Neverending Story didn't so much scare me as mildly traumatise me. Because a) Artax, and b) the Rockbiter in PTSD-land. It was the despair, more than the terror. I don't think any movie ever made me feel as helpless and useless as the Rockbiter staring at his hands. It's a fantastic movie and I madly adore it years later, but thanks for that crash-course in despair, movie, thanks for that.

The villain from 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?' freaked me out pretty good. I was also a bit scared of Ursula from 'The Little Mermaid'.

The metal-men gave me nightmares for years on end and I had to wait until adulthood before I gathered up the courage to rewatch it.

Pinnocchio. I saw it when I was very young and had nightmares about Monstro for years.
