Getting an XBox One vs. PS4 really depends on what console exclusives you're looking to get. I prefer playing on my XBOne just because I already have an extensive friends list from when I played on my 360. I actually also own a PS4, but I rarely touch it. I've only used it to play Uncharted 4 (and then the other Uncharted games) but that's pretty much it.

I much prefer the XBOne interface to the PS4's. Although the PS4 has improved theirs a bit. But the length of time it takes for PS4 updates is sometimes a little annoying.

Basically, it might not hurt to go to a place like Best Buy and check out the PS4 or XBOne that they have on display there, to see which one you like better. And of course figure out which exclusive games you're looking forward to/really want to have.
