It was a whole big Internet thing.

Basically, what happened is that he released a song that had a line about the two of them having sex. She was like "Hey, that's not cool" and then he was like "we talked about it" and then she was like "we talked about the song in general but not about the line and I'm not a fan of it". And then, like, six months later, Kim Kardashian released a recording of the conversation, where they talked about the song, but not about the specific line. And everyone decided to act as though this proved Taylor Swift was a liar, even though there was literally nothing about it that contradicted what she had been saying all along. I have no idea why they did this except that they really want to dislike Taylor Swift. It's mindboggling.

I thought what she specifically objected to was that he called her that bitch in the song: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex; Why? I made that bitch famous (God damn); I made that bitch famous". She said they had discussed the song, but not that, and she didn't like it.

um, I listened to the recording and they did talk about the specifics. the word "bitch" wasn't included, but the line, yes. don't misrepresent. taylor got a little bit flammied by his charm in the phone call, you could tell, and she went along with it. and then regretted it. it was like calling the cops because someone convinced you to let them have a party in your house and then they ruined your furniture. well, that's kind of the wrong reaction. and she got called on it.

Yeah, I don't get it either. TS sounds like a perfectly innocuous person, and KW seems literally fucking obsessed with her. Like, he seems to seek out any opportunity to mention her. I get that she's skinny and blonde and white but that still doesn't mean he isn't an obsessed creeper. (Disclaimer--I do not follow either career. I know exactly one song out of the two of theirs careers.)

I feel like the nude doll is a separate issue from the lyrics in the song, and it is creepy and objectifying and weird (to say the least).

FWIW, she did seem to approve the line about having sex, and later said she objected to being called "that bitch", which is a peculiar distinction to me, but I also would not care to be called "that bitch."

But the nude doll is aggressively stalkerish and creepy IMO. I'm surprised he got a pass on that.
