There was an episode of American Dad in which the original scripts and shoots for the F&F movies involved every scene ending in explicit gay sex. The actual sex scenes were cut out of the theatrical releases (except in France), but all the tension and longing staring stayed in.

It made so much sense that I can kind of believe it's true.
