New episode of Rebels, Rogue One's coming soon, new books out - how's it going?

I think my level of excitement for Rogue One has reached a level where the movie can only disappoint.

I was super excited for Rogue One about two months ago but now I'm fatigued with marketing. I'm not turned off but just sort of meh. I'm about to read Catalyst, so I hope that will increase my enthusiasm for the movie.

The recent pics that came out upped my excitement again, though it did wane a bit for a while.

I have to catch up on Rebels, but I'm really looking forward to Rogue One.

I got to meet Carrie Fisher on her book tour and she's hysterical and of course it was all Star Wars fans in line so it pumped me up too.

Then it's hockey season and two local teams are doing Star Wars night, I'm looking forward to that!

Does anyone else not care for Hondo? I don't hate him but I'm tired of him. It feels like the production staff feels that everyone loves him so they're safe to keep shoving him into episodes. I just wish they'd give other Clone Wars characters some stories. Or they'd give more for the Rebels characters to do. (I'm still waiting to see Fenn Rau work with the Rebels now that he's there of his own free will.)

I kind of feel the same with Maul. Everyone's so anxious to see him again, and I just want him to finally die for real. I only cared about him when Savage was still around. Now, he feels indulgent on the writers' part.

I don't like Hondo either. He has the feel of a character the writers really really REALLY love and just gives off a teacher's pet vibe every time he appears. He's their Westley Crusher.

Just finished reading A New Dawn. Bit predictable but overall enjoyable. Wish there had been more to Kanan's reveal of being a Jedi though.
