(Anonymous) 2016-11-29 12:31 am (UTC)(link)I mean they can claim all they want that shipping something they hate is "OMGZZ literally gonna make predators hurt more kids you horrible person" all they want but really? I doubt it.
I hope this moral hysteria trend is over soon. And that in the future it will be remembered as a shitty thing that hurt lots of people and not some act of keyboard activism like antishippers think it is.

(Anonymous) 2016-11-29 12:33 am (UTC)(link)You know it's funny, popularity-wise, Keith/Lance is so much bigger and more pervasive than Shiro/Keith, so I genuinely don't get why they're so frantic to pair Shiro up with anyone (even freaking Matt Holt, who genuinely looks so much younger than Keith) just so there's no possible way he could be a love interest for Keith. Just leave him as he is in canon, FFS. Just have him be Keith's friend and leader and have their relationship be 100% platonic. They're just making it that much harder for people who genuinely ship Shiro with other characters to find fan works that are actually about those ships instead of a side pairing for Klance.
Honestly, my totally petty guess as to why a lot of these people find it necessary to get Shiro out of the way is that they think, given the chance, Keith would much rather bone Shiro than Lance, who he didn't even realize existed until they met up in the first episode, even though Lance had been chasing his tail since forever. But that may just be me projecting, because yeah, I do find Shiro a hundred times hotter, hah.

(Anonymous) 2016-11-29 01:57 am (UTC)(link)Lol haven't you heard? Their newest theory is "adopted brothers" Shiro and Keith. Because two Asian men from different ethnicities= automatic adopted brothers I guess?
They're seriously trying whatever they can to get Shiro out of the way.
I agree with your petty guess too lmfao. It's not far off the mark at all, it's pretty fucking obvious they're threatened as hell by Shiro/Keith specifically. I don't see wank about how Hunk is obviously terribad for Lance and how they could never be anything more than friends blahblah, because they're not threatened at all by Hunk. (Which...I don't know, I mean, he and Lance are best buddies and honestly if he weren't fat I think a lot more shippers would feel threatened by that relationship too.) They ARE threatened by Shiro though, because he has a close relationship with Keith and Keith obviously cares about him.
They're also a bunch of salty asses because so much of the cast and crew ships Sheith and they're pretty transparent about it. It's kind of funny watching them try to "justify" why a crew member reblogged really shippy Sheith art with "maybe they just didn't ~know~ it wasn't brotherly/platonic" or some stupid shit like that when it was a hilariously obvious shippy piece (and another crew member reblogged a Sheith/Hance companion piece too). They're really burned that a lot of the cast/crew ships it.

(Anonymous) 2016-11-29 02:40 am (UTC)(link)sheith has actually gotten some support from the crew, klance is basically ignored and it drives the rabid klancers absolutely nuts.
therefore they had to come up with reasons why sheith was 'problematic' so they could make it seem like they had legit reasons for disliking it, rather than it being the petty jealousy that it really is.

(Anonymous) 2016-11-29 04:04 am (UTC)(link)And your petty guess is totally correct. Keith always looks out for Shiro and jumps in to protect him when needed, and the creators confimed that the two of them are close and that Keith admires Shiro. There is no way Keith would go for the guy who constantly insults him and gets on his nerves over the sexy leader he looks up to.
