I don't see anything wrong with that phrasing. "Canonly interact" vs "interact in canon" - who cares?

I just did and I don't see what's wrong with it.

and tbh I don't care if some random anon uses something that isn't a word but is totally understandable in their Fandom Secret - its an image on the internet, not the next great american novel.

TBC, I was whimsically poking fun. But it was a fairly awkward turn of phrase. What's the point of using fake words if we choose ugly ones, sez I? Especially since "in canon" has the exact same number of letters as canonly? It saved nothing.

There is little else to distinguish ourselves here, being "randomly anonymous," *other* than words. So your honest assessment is the exact opposite of mine.
