Isn't #savespacedad mostly coming from antis who are using that as a stick to beat Shiro/Paladin shippers with because they're "protesting" people writing him as a pedo (as opposed to, you know, just admitting they're peeved that so many people want the other characters to get into his pants instead of Lance's their favorites')? I wouldn't associate myself with that hashtag, even ironically.

I'm pretty sure the hashtag came to existence when the S2 trailer released at SDCC made everyone freak out over Shiro's fate/possible death, though I wouldn't be surprised if people used it the way you described. I've seen many antis complain that Shiro was "ruined" for them as a character because of Shiro/paladin shippers, and wishing for his death because at least then Sheith Shiro/paladin ships will be dead as well.

AYRT Oh, that makes sense. I've definitely seen it used the way I described though, so I guess some antis appropriated the Shiro fans' hashtag for their own wankery? Quelle surprise.
