I had a therapist who was facilitating a group for adult survivors of sexual abuse. He was somewhat abrasive but left after a couple of months. I found out later that he had hypnotized a secretary at the mental health facility where our group met. The hypnosis was to help the secretary stop smoking but she was unaware that she had DID and he fragmented her, destroying her life, and was wildly inappropriate with her during their sessions (encouraging some of her personalities to call him Daddy among other things). He left the state to avoid prosecution and/or litigation.

My husband had a psychiatrist who discounted my husband's recollections of sexual abuse by his father. The psychiatrist was adamant that my husband's father couldn't have possibly molested a son because the father was obviously heterosexual since he was married with children. He prescribed Haldol to my husband in doses that made my husband sleep 90% of the time. It was surreal.
