I don't really drink much anymore but when I did the thing I liked about beer was that it made me a happy tipsy/drunk. It for whatever reason put me in a good mood.

But if I want something that tastes good I'd usually get all the drinks that taste more like fruit or fruit flavored candy then alcohol. Appletinis all the way.

'Cause it's tasty as hell. Goes great with a lot of food, too. And you can enjoy more of it before getting totaled than you can with wine or liquor.

I prefer the milder wheat beers and hefeweisens because they remind me more of a cream soda and don't have that super bitter taste that things like IPAs have. And sometimes you can get them in flavors; one of my local breweries makes a really nice blueberry heffie, and Sam Adams has a delicious cherry wheat. And I also like it because it takes longer for me to drink than a mixed drink, so it lasts longer and I get more bang for my buck.

Maybe you're just not trying the right kind of beer. It is an acquired taste, I guess.
