Huh... interesting. I kinda have because most of the places I was following died down and my friends moved and I just didn't know where to look for signs of life any more.

I have asked here and many other places where I know I find LJ-ers. I also often take an extra look at the f-list and the communities of people I find interesting and active there.

Here's mine (not that I'm particularly interesting, but I follow quite a lot of open comms, like "add_me" and "fanfic finder". Keeping a look on comms like this often hints to more people and comms to connect to. (You will of course not see locked entries, unless you're a friend or member.)

Uh, that was me above, if you wondered. I also participate in friending memes when I feel my f-list is starting to lag. I guess I have a 50/50 percentage of friends from those and from particular fandoms.
