Yeah I don't exactly like the ship but I don't think she looks too old for him at all.

Right? Maybe he's supposed to be younger, but if that's the case I'd personally prefer him to look a LOT younger than he does here.

nayrt but as I recall from the books, she's like early-to-mid 30s and he's like, 24. I kind of liked that about it because older-woman relationships are so rarely done.

But that being said, OP is trolling for thinking she looks too old. The actress, whoever she is, is ethereally beautiful. I couldn't get over how beautiful she was in the show. She doesn't look old at all..

In the books, the author makes a point of saying how young Claire looks, thanks to being from a gentler, later time, so while she might be in her early to mid 30s, she looks like she's Jamie's age. Jamie is shocked to find out her real age, because he assumed they were of a similar age.

The author will go on to note again and again how preternaturally young Claire looks, even when she's like, 50, and has been living in a hut in the woods for years.
