Haven't seen the show. In the book!verse she eventually did, and her husband was an ass.

Claire didn't return to Frank willingly and when they meet again she doesn't get a divorce. She also tells him she's married to another, in love with her new husband, and pregnant with Jamie's child.

Huh? No. She doesn't divorce Frank or tell him the truth about what happened, and he wasn't an ass. Unless you think it's asshole behavior to try to make your marriage work even though your wife no longer loves you or wants to be with you, and oh yeah, she's also carrying another man's child that you're going to love and raise like it's your own.

Did you even read the book?

I've read the books and Frank was somewhat racist regarding Claire's black doctor friend, though that didn't come up in the first book.
