I have such mixed feelings on Imagine. On the one hand, I think it's a pretty ballsy song. What other pop song talks about atheism at all, let alone in a positive context? Or communism, for that matter. On the other hand, the world he's describing actually sounds pretty dystopian and nightmarish (I happen to LIKE countries, thank you very much, I think they do a pretty good job at protecting the interests of the people and cultures who live within them) and it's so fucking preachy and bullshit.
