I hate when it gets played/sung around Christmas, especially considering it has a line that says "And no religion too". I know a lot of Xmas is commercialism divorced from religion, but at it's base, Christmas is a religious holiday.

I wouldn't say Lennon was an atheist. I think he was literally putting possibilities out there in that song. But it's really not very good so it's hard to tell.
