I assume that anyone who gets pissy about having their art (especially fanart) posted on Pinterest doesn't actually get the point of Pinterest. It is for many people, as a previous poster pointed out, basically an online bookmark/favoriting tool (that other people can look at) so unless the board description specifically states that the pinner created those pictures/activities/articles, everyone assumes they were created by someone else. And most of the time the only thing you have to do to find the original artist is to double click the picture - most pinners (at least of my acquaintance) try to link to the original page so that if anyone likes the art they can go and look at the artist's stuff.
