What is the best cheap thing you've bought?

Either it has lasted forever or does its job really well?

Everything I've ever bought in a Daiso. I love that store. So cheap, and the quality is surprisingly good! I have a wok that I got for 5$ and I used it for several years.

Also adorable 1-2$ socks from Korea. They come in great patterns, and hold up pretty well, especially considering how cheap they are.

I love Daiso so much and wish there was one closer to me.

Right? I went to a dollar store once and everything there is cheap garbage, whereas I've gotten the cutest things at Daiso.

I love the bento accessories. I'm in to making cute lunches and I have a slight addiction. Luckily Daiso isn't close by or I'd be broke!

When I was in Japan I bought myself a bento box, one of those two-tiered ones with a little place for chopsticks and everything, and it's one of my favorite things in the world!
(I didn't buy it from Daiso, though, I got a more expensive one). I still regret not having gotten a soup one, too. Oh well, next trip...

I have several of those two tier ones! I love them. I figure I'll get back in to cute lunches after the holidays and I'll have more time to cook.

lol, I never have time to cook. I usually cook once a week and eat it all week, but it works for me.
Also, happily, atm I don't often have to take lunches to uni, so my bento didn't get much use this quarter. But in previous years it's gotten plenty of mileage.
It's cool that you do the cute lunch thing, though. Do you have some of those nori punchers in cute shapes?

I make my lunches the night before, I never have time to do it in the morning and I only do this once or twice a week.

I don't have the nori punches, but I do have small cookie cutters that I use. Dinosaur are my favorite!

Jeans from Wal-Mart. Seriously, a ten dollar pair of jeans lasted me for at least a couple years. Other, more expensive jeans? Give them a few months and they're rendered unwearable.

OXO brand clock/timers are bizarrely durable and take forever to run out of batteries. Unfortunately, they're a little slow, losing a few minutes over the course of several months. Still, it's handy to have a timer that can double as a clock. (I use mine as an alarm clock.)

I seem to have really good luck with cheap earphones. Every time I've had to fork out $15 so I can listen to music without being a menace to society, they've ended up lasting at least a few years. My current pair are well into their third year of use.

A couple of bendy-necked LED lights. I pulg one into a changer stick and use it as a hand torch. The two came in one pack, for $3 one time Coles had some cheap electronics accessories on sale.
