Jaws and MASH. It's amazing how unlikeable the characters in the books are.

Casino is like that (even though it's nonfiction). The movie version has rewritten characters to be more sympathetic, the book version everyone's an asshole.

YES on Jaws. You hate everyone but the Sheriff and the shark by the end, omg.
M*A*S*H i thought was okay, kind of like Catch 22 - a book of it's time. I didn't hate most of them.

ugh, Jaws. I got part way into it - saw a pairing come out of nowhere and noped out of it.
