MTE. There's something really weird about some of the characters, especially with the prosthetic on Robbie, but he's weirdly attractive. Not my secret (I was going to make my own, honestly), but if you're right, yeah, I agree.

RIGHT? The latex appliances just make me love him more it's not okay. I mean... I'm super into theatrical/effect makeup (uh, not as a sex thing just as an interest thing), so... like, I just kind of geek out over the work that goes into making a human being look like a cartoon character. But also just the body work that goes into his performance is amazing-- the movement and the ways he'll hold himself, it's over the top with this spot-on comedic timing, and I just really love that as a theatre major (and occasional babysitter who is totally going to abuse the excuse to mainline kids shows I'd be embarrassed to admit to enjoying)

They weirded me out at first, and I can't say I like them, but they create this unique look that fascinates me, and I love how over the top it is. It really is a cartoon brought to life, and I love it! Out of curiosity, I searched dA for art, and it was weird how many people "cute"ified him, it just wasn't the same at all. (Weird to me, not weird as a social concept because I know people do that.)

Just out of curiosity, do you watch the tv show "Face Off" at all? You may like it.

Yeah, I'm home alone right now due to winter break (my roommate already went home, but I work here, so I can't yet), so I'm mainlining lol. I wish I had babysitting as an excuse, but what can you do, right?

Bah, I hate cutification in fanart... I love characters who don't fit that mold, and my favorite features are always the ones that get erased in the process! I mean, I also enjoy cute and I think it has its place, and it can be difficult for a beginning artist to get the balance right when playing with out-there proportions or just shapes that differ from what they're used to doing, but you can't get better if you don't try! And it's sad when I feel like the artist just thinks the character would be more attractive if they were less big-nosed/fat/horse-faced/etc... all the interesting things that make them unique!

(I do LOVE Face Off, though! Especially when they break away from gore, which a lot of contestants seem to consider their strong suit, and do out-there stuff!)
