I'm still interested but maybe not as invested as I would have been with more continuity. That said, I still love it and get excited when I see new stuff! I'm watching the latest episodes tonight - in a few minutes, in fact!

That's what's driving me nuts. I'm already demotivated as far as some of my other favorite shows that get the same treatment.

(And honestly I partially blame Cartoon Network because all they ever do is ram Teen Titans Go down people's throats like political junkies ram their ideologies.)

And then after two months of waiting, we get rewarded with shitty 30 minute episodes!

Ha, right.....

I just set the show to record and when it pops up I watch. Then I don't have to think about it the rest of the year when it isn't on and get to go through short bursts of obsession.

But I can't blame you, the schedule reeks. I can't imagine how confusing it must be for a kid. I'm pretty sure kids like consistency.

MTE. It's gotten to the point where I'd just prefer for them to release the rest of the episodes in one go so I can move on.

The show isn't good enough to warrant having such long breaks and still keep my interest. It's still good, but not amazing. It's even worse when they come back with an episode that's not that interesting (or features a character I don't like; I'm only in it for the gems and worldbuilding) and then break for another month.

I enjoy the show but I always end up loosing track of when it comes out and forgetting about it as a result.

I suffer this all the time. The random long breaks in the middle of a season instead of between seasons has made me drop so many shows

Oh boy do I understand this! I never understood how people forgot about something they liked or lost interest during the breaks, but it's happened to me more and more the last couple years. I don't understand why any network does it, especially because the ratings almost always take a huge hit and they're recovering from them less and less these days.

Same! I liked the show, but these hiatuses and lack of schedule are really causing it to get lost in the shuffle for me.

(Anonymous) 2016-12-14 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I'm only able to keep up because spoilery gifsets start popping up on my tumblr dash every once in awhile "Oh, guess a new episode is out".

I heard someone once explain why they release them like that but it didn't make any sense to me. It seems financially devastating to not have any new episodes for awhile and let interest stagnate. I really don't understand why they don't do what most other series do and release one or two episodes a week. We'd get more time to think over each episode and enjoy it, while anticipating the next one. And the creators could keep working on new episodes without as much pressure.

Yeah, I never can watch shows when they come out in drips and drabs like this. I just end up waiting until there's a bunch of them so I can binge watch.
