My store, which I'll call Comfort Shoes, is in the same mall as Athletic Shoes and Stylish Shoes. All three of us sell the Incredibly Ugly brand, and all three of us used to obey Incredibly Ugly's rule that you can't discount their shoes below the minimum price they set.

Athletic Shoes claimed they'd made a deal with Incredibly Ugly that allowed them to sell shoes for 20% off. This drained a lot of foot traffic, since we couldn't match the price. So my boss's boss bought some shoes at Athletic Shoes and emailed the receipt to Incredibly Ugly. It turned out that Incredibly Ugly had never heard of any such deal, and they just blacklisted Athletic Shoes.

Our assistant manager tried to secret-shop Stylish Shoes to see what price they were selling at. Two hours later, they tried to secret-shop us. I guess competition keeps you honest.

Haha, great writeup. Throw a romance or two in and you'll have a wildly entertaining drama story right there. Make a fanfic or an original and sell the movie rights!
