What's worse is combining the two. After Super Bowl XLII, I started shipping Peyton and Eli, and not in a brotherly sort of way. Don't ask me why, but now whenever I see either of them mentioned, I can't help but think about it.

I think they were pretty cool about it. Like, they admitted some slashy lines were actually slashy AND they admitted those lines were there on purpose. It doesn't mean they're gonna have on-screen sex, but it means the pairing is respected like any other pairing in the show (the way it should be o/). Go, go, read. Crying as in tears or crying as in moaning in pleasure? Because one of things I like about yaoi is at least one of the men will actually emote instead of grunting.

Eh, I used to feel that way about Franky, actually. There was just this "off" feeling to me. And part of me suspects it's stems from having a set group for so long and suddenly adding two new elements, it takes a bit to get used to how the new ones are going to flow into the group. So I kind of get where you're coming from.

*shrugs* Personally, you like who you like. The crew's large enough that people are going to like certain members over others. So what. I'm more intrigued that the OP says there's a surge of Luffy-hate, because I haven't really seen it. Then again, I'm only on LJ, so maybe it's elsewhere?
