26. Okay, the difference is this. Rape in real life = a horrible crime that can traumatise the victim for life. Homosexuality = a sexual preference which affects no one else either positively or negatively. It's not horribly offensive and demeaning of another person's existence if you say you hate rape.

45. You'll adore Wicked fandom, then. It's primarily femmeslash.

Actually, I was in Wicked fandom for a short while. Saw the musical on Broadway even, just before Idina Menzel left. And while they're certainly slashy (For Good? Jesus), I find it a little boring. Maybe it's just too easy? My love for the show waned fairly quickly as well.

I'm the one who posted the rarepair femslash secret a while back, too. Maybe I'm incapable of liking popular pairings D:

I'm not a very big fan of Glinda/Elphaba, though in my case it's because I love Fiyero/Elphaba to itty-bitty pieces. The fandom tends to be...homogenous, to say the least. I might try starting a non-Gelphie ficathon, but I'm wary of getting my head bitten off.

Have you tried West Side Story fandom, if it has one? There might be some Maria/Anita kicking around. I know for a fact there's a Kathy/Lina (Singin' in the Rain) fic here (http://romantic.frenchboys.net/petra/srsotto.html).

The musical is, though it depends on the actors. Glinda's role is hugely expanded from the book, where she fades out after the first part - she's pretty much the secondary lead and Fiyero, while not peripheral, is a bit off to the side. I always thought some of Glinda's parts in the book could be interpreted as Glinda ---> Elphaba, though not reciprocated.
