5. See icon for reaction. I'm afraid you're confusing your own fangirl/fanboy delusions to a word most people cling to frantically and never attain, which is called 'canon'. Zoro/Luffy ARE NOT 'TOGETHER' IN THE WAY YOU WANT THEM TO BE. I'll bring up a past secret that came up talking about how pairing up anyone in the strawhat crew or, for in my opinion, anyone in the One Piece world, is pretty darn ridiculous. It just isn't going to happen. We have fic, we have fanart, we have our own imaginary POV of the situation, but there is no real shipping going on in OP, or with the strawhats. They are a FAMILY. ~~Possibly friend's with benefits.~~

By the way, I am a fan of Zoro/Sanji, Sanji/Luffy, and Zoro/Luffy. I might be a huge fan of Zoro/Sanji, but I do not believe it outranks Zoro/Luffy, and I don't think Zoro/Luffy outranks Zoro/Sanji just because Zoro was the very first recruit Luffy attained. Each member of the strawhats has an equally strong bond to each of his/her fellow strawhats.

For some reason (and from looking a bit at the fandom, a lot of people seem to agree with me XD) I find it very easy to consider most of the Strawhats friends with benefits, heh.

But really, I ship Luffy/Zoro, and don't want to imagine them with anybody else (unless it's simply a question of adding... *ahem*). But that's, you know, my personal taste, and I happily encourage other people to ship whatever they like (though more Luffy/Zoro shippers would be fun, of course). The more diversity in fandom, the better.

A large portion of them are teenagers. You've also got a feisty older woman who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty (just ask Franky) and Franky wears speedos for goodness sakes. His libido hangs out there in plain view for everyone to see. But I feel rather sad for Brooke. I can't imagine how he'd get into all the action, though knowing Luffy, he wouldn't see a single problem with it. xD

Exactly, and I have that same outlook. We all like certain ships for certain reasons that sometimes only a select few can see. It's hard to convince someone to open up their perspective and try out different ships because it's hard for them to find those special attributes. I too have no problem with adding. Sandwiches are always nicer with extra ingredients. 8D;

And I cringe and shudder when I see Sanji/Luffy and especially Sanji/Zoro. I truly don't understand. I know some don't understand my pairings, and I normally don't care, but it truly hurts my eyes to see Sanji/Zoro. It doesn't help I am certain people who ship them only do so because they are the only two stereotypical bishonen in the manga. Basically, it's an emotional thing and no arguments ever will make me feel different ^^;;; Sorry.

Also, I don't think I'm bringing up pairing wars in One Piece - there are no real shipping wars in One Piece. It's peaceful and mellow <3

Well, at first this fact made me feel a bit uneasy, but hearing your defense has eased my weariness. I can kind of understand how you feel. I sometimes get very attached to certain ships and get mixed feelings when I see people taking one of the characters from that ship and pairing them up with another person. You see a certain chemistry between those two and you can't see them having as special or memorable a relationship with anyone else other than each other. I always feel a tiny bit of jealousy towards Zoro/Luffy shippers because oh boy, those two have a relationship. I mean, Zoro almost died for Luffy. There's no debate that Zoro cares deeply for Luffy, and I'm assured that Luffy cares deeply for Zoro. However, something about turning that heartfelt connection into anything having to do with a remotely deeper emotional or physical relationship doesn't appeal to me.

And it's very hypocritical of me to say that, I know, because Zoro/Sanji is... it makes no sense.

Not everyone does that though, you have to understand that. Granted, you're sure to find some people who do, but there are others who like the pairing for the same reason that you like Zoro/Luffy. We see something in it that is special, that makes us happy and feel as if something is so very right between the two, no matter how much they try to beat each other into a bloody pulp. ...Like I said, makes no sense. (￣ー￣;)

In the end, no need to apologize. You love Zoro/Luffy. No one can look down on you or point fingers at you for that. It's just I got a little miffed at the fact that it seemed you were putting the pairing up on some superiority pedestal.

I can never imagine any sort of drama in the One Piece fandom. It's just so... loving and nice and tame. I love our fandom to death. ♥
