I only watched the first two eps (the Pig one and the talent show one), so take what I say with a grain of salt, but my issue with the show was less that it was critical of technology, but more than its criticism seemed pretty cliched/overdramatic rather than thought provoking.

I love science fiction based dystopias etc so got told this would be up my street. I nearly bailed after the first two episodes too because I wasn't feeling it. Episode one was fine but episode two just irritated me beyond belief...probably because of my general aversion to reality talent shows.

But it definitely improves. Series two has a strong opening episode but the show truly clicked for me when I watched the Christmas special. The last episode of series 3 is probably one of my favourite episodes of anything ever.

Just my experience of course. You're still entitled to not bother!
