Yuri on Ice

(Anonymous) 2016-12-16 01:13 am (UTC)(link)AND HE AND VICTOR WILL LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER TEACHING TINY TOTS TO SKATE.
Re: Yuri on Ice
(Anonymous) 2016-12-16 01:25 am (UTC)(link)Logic says it'll be Yuri vs. Yuri. And since Russian Yuri got his world record score already, and Japanese Yuri is the protagonist, it stands to reason Japanese Yuri will win. But I'm also not 100% confidant. His story arc doesn't have to climax by actually winning, just getting close to it and reflecting that on to his relationship with Victor. Sports anime occasionally does pull out and not let the protagonists win at the end, as long as they've learned a lesson, and I can't help but think that might happen here. He will definitely deliver an amazing performance next episode, but maybe make a terrible fall and miss out. It'd be a setup for season 2, if there is one - and if that's the case Victor will compete again next year, and it'll be Japanese Yuri vs Victor.
/too many thoughts
Re: Yuri on Ice
(Anonymous) 2016-12-16 02:19 am (UTC)(link)I agree that it'd probably come down to Yuri vs Yuri and I think I'd be okay with that. I'd like Japanese Yuri to win, but I do also kind of like when the protagonist loses as well, so I think I'd probably be fine with Russian Yuri winning.
I LOVE EVERYONE OKAY! THEY CAN ALL WIN! GOLDS FOR ALL!

(Anonymous) 2016-12-16 02:08 am (UTC)(link)I am genuinely kind of into Chris's sexiness though. No regrets, I'd fuck him.

(Anonymous) 2016-12-16 01:40 am (UTC)(link)I really don't know what to take literally and what to take as insecure doublespeak with this show. I've never watched a sports or romance anime series before, and I feel out of my depth :(
Re: Yuri on Ice
(Anonymous) 2016-12-16 02:11 am (UTC)(link)Since he's talked about meeting Victor on the ice again so often, I feel like there could be a season two with them against one another.
I just mostly can't believe there's only one episode left!
Re: Yuri on Ice
(Anonymous) 2016-12-16 02:24 am (UTC)(link)I also can't believe there's only one episode left! I wish the show could've been twenty four episodes long instead of twelve. I want to know more about all the other characters, especially Yurio and Pitchit. As much as I adore Yuri, I really want day in the limelight episodes for those two. I'd love to see Yuri and Victor compete against each other and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a second season.
Re: Yuri on Ice
(Anonymous) 2016-12-16 02:31 am (UTC)(link)But I guess a series like this inspires a lot of fanfic, just because it leaves so many gaps and in-betweens left open. I appreciate what the series is doing, but it's only 12 episodes, so I kind of just want it to focus on the established characters it has.
