Money is really tight right now. I was making gifts for my family out of leftovers from other craft projects. I crocheted a small toy version of the mascot of the university my cousin attends. I made one to test the pattern and made a second for my cousin. When she was home over last weekend, she was talking about how she didn't have anything to give her roommate for Christmas. I offered her the first mascot I made since I didn't need it.

My cousin came home after exams saying people loved the toy and wanted one. I gave her the second mascot toy since she is not going to be here for Christmas. She took a photo of it and posted it on her college graduation year's Facebook group for different amounts based on the size- lowest price is $10. I have twelve orders that want one before Christmas and twenty six other orders.

So I will be able to buy a few Christmas gifts for my Mom and cats this year.
