I am kind of conflicted about it, on one hand, Ford was behind EVERYTHING and it might be better for the hosts if he's not around so they can actually start going off script.

But on the other, like you said Anthony Hopkins is phenomenal and none of the other humans we have right now can really be an opposing force to the hosts the way we thought he was. There wasn't anyone else who could keep up with what he was doing so I will have trouble buying the host vs human fight if we don't get another competent human around.

I am hoping Elsie and other Hemsworth brother are still alive so they can lead the resistance. And that we get some hosts that want to play for the human team.

Well if you want some spoilers...

I have heard both of them are on call for next season. I wouldn't necessarily say that means either are alive (because we know now hosts can be created in other people's images) but I'm interested to see if they are and what they'll be doing next season.

It would be interesting to see a host choose to fight with humans, like not just part of their script but their own choice.

I like to imagine that some of the hosts that enjoy their roles might not want to be thrown into some war and just want to live their fake life. Like that one dude who was mad about being broken out of the Matrix.

I'd just be interested in seeing some off script fighting between the hosts, like the way Maeve just left her boy toy at the elevator, I would like to see him get pissed off about that.

We've already had peaks at hosts holding grudges so maybe more of that will happen.

I wouldn't give up hope. There's been some theorizing on Reddit and elsewhere (and by god, have they been on the money before) that there's good reason to believe that Ford's still alive and that what he sent out to give the speech in the finale was a host version of himself.

I don't watch Westworld and don't even like Anthony Hopkins but at seeing this secret I thought for a gut-wrenching second that I'd missed his death announcement. 2016 really fucked me up, huh.
