Lets talk about movies.

Rogue One- Spoilers

Has anyone else seen it? I saw it this afternoon. I feel like this may make me a bad fan, but I actually think it might be my favorite Star Wars movie. It was honestly so perfect. The only thing that wasn't absolutely perfect was not having John Williams composing, but the score was still pretty good.

Jyn is one of my favorite characters ever. I adore her already and need all the fics. I may even try to write something. I love all the nostalgic stuff (Tarkin, Vader, Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, Leia). I loved all the new planets and characters. I loved the end. It was the right choice to have them all die, and each of the deaths are fitting. That last shot of Jyn and Cassian with them on the beach was perfect.

Honestly, best movie of the year hands down and one of my favorite movies of all time already. I need to see it many more times to get all the details.

Well I am a Firefly fan so I think it is the best Star Wars ever and the Firefly droid voice guy should get all the oscars because Firefly motherfuckers!

I rambled a lot about it on tumblr but my rambles mostly add up to: I liked it, not my fave, but pretty good.

Except for the bit about how Leia got the Death Star plans. That whole thing just feels...bungled...in the context of her first conversation with Vader on the Tantive IV in ANH. They don't mesh. It bothered me since otherwise I like how the movie ended. :/

I very much enjoyed it!! It fit very well as a prequel and I LOVED how it segued into A New Hope. And I LOVE how they kept the original imposing feel of Vader, but also having nice shout out to his prowess as a former Jedi Knight in his skills, so yes, a nice POSITIVE shout out to the Prequels.

Also BAIL OMG. D8

oh wow that ending is not what I expected! did not see that coming. but i love it, it is a very good ending.

i don't think mauie deserved a new hook though. still do not like him much at the ending.
