Seriously, though, folks... you post your works online, whether it's art, writing, or even just personal style, you're opening yourself up to being copied, used as the basis as someone else's creative expression, or flat out ripped off. Boo-hoo, someone used your art! It's the most terrible thing that can happen to a person.

You know, at least you have this outlet for creative expression. At least you have implicit approval of your art through this usage. At least you have the exposure to new people through this forum. OMG, how terrible for you.

It doesn't matter whether it's online or in print. I hate to break it to you, but it still violates copyright laws. She/he's entitled to claim her own artwork (although since it's fanart the copyright is doubled to her and to Mike and Bryan, so it gets a bit sticky in that regard).

Yeah, FANART. I think we're already on shaky legal ground already, so splitting hairs about laws is sort of a moot point.

I'm sorry, but I just don't feel any sympathy for the person whose artwork was used for the secret, especially since it was credited. Even if it weren't credited, it's not like most or perhaps even ANY of the images used for these secrets are the sole property of the posters. In addition, the secrets are all provided anonymously, so nobody is taking any sort of credit for the images. To get upset over the usage of an image here is entirely foolish, in my opinion.
