I've been having ridiculous arguments with friends and family for years. It's all in good fun though.

Most recently it was whether a thing has to be the source of light in order to count as shining. This was so we could argue about whether it makes sense to "shine bright like a diamond".

Others that come to mind are whether 4 or 5 is a better number and if cereal is "supposed to" be eaten with milk.
