I will agree with you on chilli, and I sometimes get a tad annoyed about the whole trend in the last 20 years of putting chilli in everything. A little can be good, but people seem to want to push Indian and Mexican levels of hot, and I grew up with a very British-influenced diet.

I'd also agree on alcohol - I came by my aversion of it through religious-influenced dietary upbringing and never really saw the point of "acquiring" a taste for it.

Also broccoli! Broccoli is one of my top favourite greens, and one of the frozen vegetables that I feel doesn't taste bleh for having been frozen (the worst for that is carrot).

Yes - and they should stop pushing the chili chocolate, thanks.

Sometimes when I tell people I don't drink when the subject comes up, they get this really confused look, then I get questions about religion (not religious) and alcoholism (nope, not in my family either). Like not liking the taste and not wanting to drink aren't perfectly legitimate reasons for not doing it.

I don't know why broccoli gets such a bad rap, but then there are other greens I don't like (lettuce, ubiquitous as it is, being one of them).
