[Ash vs. Evil Dead]

huh, interesting. I mean, I was kind of upset to see her go because I was kind of rooting for her from the beginning but like, Lucy Lawless and Dana DeLorenzo outshined her so much in terms of female cast/members of the gang as the show went on that I can see where you're coming from. She made an ok deadite in the end tbh

What I didn't like about her character was that she started off as kind of mousy and meek and the story arc clearly meant for her to transform into a badass... which was fine! But the way they did it was for her to be like, willfully dumb. She sees all that deadite shit and still wants to believe that somehow Ash is to blame, because... why again? Plus all of a sudden kickass = super tight tank tops and cleavage, apparently. I think the direction of the show greatly improved in season two. It goes back to its roots a bit more, but not in a derivative way.

I don't know if I'd say season 2 was better then season 1, Lucy Lawless being in more definitely improves the situation but I felt like season 2 had some pretty weak and aimless episodes and I'm really just waiting for the twist on that ending because the final episode was kind of meh.

I do agree Amanda's character left a lot to be desired though and the writing never really had her live up to her potential. I wasn't exactly sad when she died, if anything I wanted her deadite to be around longer because that was the only time she was really amusing.

Ash's current love interest isn't much better though, we know literally nothing about her as a character except that they knew each other a long time ago. She hasn't really contributed anything of value to the plot and I was honestly waiting for her to die all season.
