Glimpsed once and never tracked down again...deleted before you could truly relish a reread...forever unfinished...etc., etc.

There was a SPN fanfic that I friggin' loved. It had a beautiful scene where Sam is in the middle of a college class and has a sudden realization that Dean was abused by their father. I read it once and I think it was deleted.

There was this fic called something Phoenix. Phoenix Rising I think? Or something like that. Anyway, it was by an author called crabtree something. And it was a Harry Potter fic where Harry gets captured and tortured by Voldemort and then Fawkes saves Harry and Harry is now part Phoenix. It disappeared, though, and I've never been able to find it since. I've tried everything.

I will forever lament the deletion of locate/subdue/ravage. It was a dark and disturbing Transformers porn fic and it was taken down mid 2000's. I had it on disc, but lost all discs in the last move.

6+ years ago I read a fic on ff.net where there was no magic but Sirius took in Harry when Harry was 13 and had been living with his aunt and uncle and it was just like...about the emotional fallout thereof. I LOVED it and looked forward to updates, then had to be without internet for almost 2 months and when I got it back the fic was absolutely gone. Can't find it anywhere. Truly my white whale. I even remember the title!

There was a story in the "Criminal Minds" fandom called "Landslide" that was set twenty years after Emily's "death". Most everyone on the team had long since come to terms with what they thought was the loss of their friend, but then Emily suddenly reappeared. The story focused a lot on her friendship with Reid in particular, and how the team dealt with her return and the danger it brought. Many of the team also had children, and Emily forged a close bond with Reid's daughter at one point.

I remember it made me cry my eyes out in spots, but it was a beautiful story, and had a great, suspenseful storyline as well. Unfortunately, the author looks to have deleted it from FF.net, and I can't seem to find it anywhere else.

There was also a Reid/JJ story I read once that I believe was a series of one-shots about a relationship between them. I remember really liking it because I think it really captured them as individuals and as a couple so well, but I've tried hunting for it again on FF.net and can't seem to find it. I'm blanking on the title, too. I don't think the author deleted it, though, so I'll keep searching.

There was a Jean/Armin fic a few years ago that I liked well enough to read all the chapters, but not enough to save it because it's not one of my main ships. I recently really got into the ship and searched for the entire AO3 for it, but couldn't find it.

Blackmamba07 deleted all their Inuyasha fanfic a few years ago, just before I got into the habit of saving my favs. :(

A lot of fanfic written only in LJ was deleted by their authors. :(

Harry Potter fic where most of the characters were stuck in a house together like on Big Brother. There was a section about wizarding world euphemisms for sex acts. Ginny created a set of rules called the Ginny Weasley Mandates.

There was another one where the HP characters went to Disney World.
