I've heard the original but prefer the Britney one! I love the actual music so that might be why people love it.

I like the tune, but not the words? Both have to work for me at least to a certain extent for me to like a song, unless it is an instrumental. I don't mean I have to agree with the words because I listen to some pretty hardcore hip-hop, but they have to sound right to me, if that makes sense? And while I like the tune to Tom's Diner, the words just don't work with the tune for me.
