I wasn't surprised, tbh. It's stressful on a partnership when you're both actors and one half gets their big break with excellent roles that take them away from home for extended periods, while the other half is so broke they have to declare bankruptcy and in the meantime, they take on 100% of the child rearing. No matter how well suited two people are initially, that's a lot to deal with.
