When my roommates took in a litter of kittens, my cat (who was about 14 at the time) taught them very quickly not to pounce the Big Kitty. She never hurt any of them, she just held them down and glared, and finally let them slink away.

The 85-pound, bred-for-hunting-wild-boars dog was TERRIFIED of her. But I have pictures of the kittens curled up next to her.
