I was really disappointed in this Hitler. He wasn't at all menacing, and he wasn't even funny.

Just kind of a random, "this is what crazy people do, isn't that funny" shtick.

(Dean killing Hitler was awesome, though. He totally deserved some pie.)

As someone who doesn't even watch the show it seemed pretty self explanatory?

SPN brought in a Hitler reincarnation (or so I'm choosing to believe since he looks nothing like historical Hitler and the clothing looks too modern) and Dean killed him.

Secret!OP did not like the characterization of said Hitler, feeling like it was a cheap 'heee look at me, I'm crazy, this is how crazy people act!' rather than the true menacing evil that real Hitler actually was.

Dean likes pie, so he deserves a huge helping for killing the bastard.

I think this might be a secret from third reich smurf. Instead of replacing random words with SMURF, this little blue bastard replaces words with Hitler.

He makes all the other smurf very uncomfortable. None of them read the books he writes.

My dad's a fan of this show and what I can gather from him talking about this plotline:

SPN had an episode (possibly more?) in which Hitler was reincarnated or brought back to life. The new "Hitler" was pretty cartoonish and silly, thus the secret complaining that he wasn't at all menacing (I saw a clip from Dad's recording the show, the guy was really hamming it up) and thus acting with a 'this is what crazy people do, how funny' kind of manner. Dean kills the Hitler reincarnation and gets rewarded by going out for pie. Or mentions wanting pie. I'm not to sure on that but apparently pie is a Big Deal in SPN?

There were very bad Nazis who dabbled in necromantic arts (the Thule society, they figured out how to live forever), and we 'meet' them in an episode where we also met a Jewish hunter (by accident) whose grandfather had 'gifted' him with a Golem. Said Golem had been used to kill Nazis in WWII and was part of the Judah Initiative, a secret society of Rabbis formed to fight the Thule group. (This was season 8.)

This ep (season 12) had some members of the Thule society resurrecting Hitler, who's soul had been stored for decades until they could find a proper host/gather all the things for the ritual.

No that was the mid-season finale, where Lucifer possesses POTUS. Yeah... Not loving season twelve.
