Cashier at a market. Under the table. I was 13. >.>

Working in my parents' convenience store. I think I started getting paid when I was 12 or 13--before that I just "helped out". By the time I was 16, I was managing it when they went away overnight on the weekends. We lived above the store and it's not like they went really far away or anything.

McDonald's floor worker. So I did cashier, packing up food, cleaning, stocking, drive-thru orders.

Student worker position at the post office on my campus was my first official job.

Assistant teacher at a preschool when I was 17. It was awesome, made me realise what my dream career is. I'm studying to be an educational psychologist right now, but if it doesn't work out, I'm perfectly happy to fall back on teaching.

Sweeping and cleaning machinery at the door maker's workshop after school. Got paid 5 cents a day. My town was pretty chill about small children working. I did odd jobs for a lot of people.

Babysitter, technically. Second one was graphic design. Third was telemarketing.

Working as an assistant to a graphic designer (my uncle), or doing temp work (I can't remember which came first).

I walked dogs when I was probably early teens. Joined the Navy at eighteen.

Not counting a little babysitting and chores, my first job was as a cashier in a mom-and-pop grocery.

Picking cotton, soybeans, and tomatoes. Grew up in the deep south USA.
