What is up with hating pineapple on pizzas? It tastes fine, especially if you balance it out with something salty like smoked ham or anchovy. Its a pretty good flavour combination.

Pineapple on pizza is practically a necessity. I specifically buy pineapple for the purpose of putting it on pizza. And I hate plain pineapple, lol.

To me, it's overpowering in its sweetness

To me, it's too sweet/acidic for my liking, especially combined with pizza sauce.

Plus, hot Pineapple is kind of gross.

I like pineapple, but warm/hot pineapple is just gross to me, and I don't like the flavor combination with tomato sauce, cheese, etc. It's just too sweet, IMO. I also dislike smoked ham and anchovies and it doesn't really balance out on my palate... it's just a mix of super sweet and very salty things that don't meld together until you chew them thoroughly.

Same. There are a lot of things I'll deal with on a pizza if it's already there, but pineapple is just so eurgh to me that putting it on pizza is just wrong (to me).

It's too sweet/too acidic for me. And I LOVE pineapple! Just not on pizza.

Some people just don't like savoury-sweet things.

Meanwhile, I like pineapple on pizza, though it's better if it's canned pineapple in natural juice, and not in syrup. Juice is not as sweet.
