He's one of my favourite characters, but I don't get why he's not more popular than he is. I am enjoying the current arc so much :D

Omg, me too. D= D= D= I love him hardcore, but he just seems to completely lack a fanbase! He's so funny and interesting, too. Deep and ever so slightly ruthless as well, looking at the Omg Shinji Has Pretty Hair Arc. X3

I'm a bit bummed out that the flashback/Pretty Hair arc is only going to last for a few more weeks - learning about the past of everybody is so much better to read than some parts of the story. Still, I'm excited for the fighting but more history plz Kubo. I love that even though he is so strong, and old and fhfdjk he still makes time to pull silly faces. Snappy dresser, too. I don't get why people don't like him that much. Maybe they find him annoying but I love his weirdness.

Oh, is it? I was rather liking Shinji being a Captain, too. Still, I want to see more of Stark now that my favourite character is dead, so I suppose it's not -that- bad...

But... Shinji... *girlflail* Him and his awesome little theme music thing... X3

Well, I've heard many times that there were only going to be 8 chapters in this arc. We've learned a lot of new things but there are twice as many questions left in its wake, you know? Unless the arc is a lot longer than we've all heard then we'll likely have to wait some time before we learn anything else.

Which character? I was ): when Nnoitra got defeated, I really liked him even though I probably shouldn't have.

Nnoitra. X3 I loved him, definite favourite. I shouldn't have liked him, because he was a misogynistic fuckwit, but I did anyway. A lot.

Maybe... it'll do some flashback and then... some storyline, and then more flashback? *hope* It doesn't seem to have enough time to cover all of the How They Got To be Vizards thing, does it? =/

I'm getting lazy with the spambot challenges ):

I think it was his misogyny that made me love him so much. Plus his extreme lankiness, long black hair and everything else hfjdk. The reason we're getting the flashbacks right now is because we are right between the Hueco Mundo arc and the second Karakura Town arc - the timing couldn't be better, so I guess this was planned for a while now. I don't know... unless the Vizards are partaking in the upcoming battles then going into flashbacks would just interrupt the flow of the fights. Waiting a week does that enough as it is! More than anything it has hinted at things that we couldn't have previously imagined about the past - in Turn Back The Pendulum 4 that basically proves to everybody that Gin really is as fucked up as he comes off as, and there is probably no chance of him redeeming himself. Shame, I'm a big fan of him too because he's such a nasty piece of work. Not forgetting that we learn of things that are kept secret from even most shinigami. ALSO how damn cute is Hisagi as a child?

And yeah, you have a point about the flashbacks. While I'm -really- enjoying them, I still want to see more of Stark and I wanna know what the hell Ulquiorra's released form is. =/ I also wanna see what on earth is going to happen to Wonderweiss, the little weirdo.

I like how we get to see current shinigami interacting with the previous generations. I guess after this meeting little Hisagi said "I want to be like him" and I love how he failed the exam so many times. My favourite characters... we don't see as much of them as I would like unfortunately ): but I have a thing for fucked up characters too.

We have so much to look forward to, you're right! I don't GET what Wonderweiss does, except chase butterflies. He isn't ranked, and we haven't a lot from him. He is either useless, or a vasto lorde. I'm sure if we learned more in the flashbacks about the key characters, we'd be able to predict what ultimately happens with a higher degree of accuracy.

Yuuup!

Wonderweiss is a weird one, though. He's ... Hm. Unless his zanpakuto is called 'Aaauuu...' and his release command is 'Oooaaahhuu..' I dunno what use he'll be. Hahaha. I'm hoping for something interesting off him, though.

Damnit, you've got me all hyped up and looking forward to it all more, now. X3 Just when I have to go to sleep, too. Argh! X3

Yeah... we know nothing about him at this point except that he could potentially be incredibly powerful. Right now he seems like a bit of an idiot though. I'm sure he'll have a purpose in the future, I doubt Aizen would keep him around if he wasn't worthy of being there. Plus Tousen seems fond of him.

I'm glad! It's hard for me to talk about it as nobody I know on lj is a Bleach fan so I enjoy it when I have the chance. Goodnight!

He's really not that popular? I think that's shocking. I'm not really involved with Bleach fandom, but I don't understand why anyone would not want to lavish fangirlish love upon Shinji.

I'm kind of disappointed that he's blonde, though. I pictured him with pale green hair before I ever saw coloured panels in the manga.

Pale green? =D Awesome.. I saw him blonde before I saw any uncoloured chapters, so... I didn't have a chance to speculate.

Maybe it's 'cos Nel and Lillinette have the pale green covered? Haha.

Maybe, but theirs is more of a mint and my minds-eye Shinji has a kind of a pale lime. He has also been known to tend towards hot pink ties.
