19. Are you a male or a female? It doesn't ultimately make any difference, but I'm curious to know. As long as there is no intent to harm (as you've pointed out) I think you're free to enjoy it to your heart's content.

49. It's weird to a lot of people. but it doesn't follow from any logical sequence of social interactions. I'm glad that you're willing to look to the people instead of judging them based on a handful of stereotypes, but you can't expect everyone to do the same.

51. I've begun to think that the modular nature of the Japanese language and the collectivist culture that the Japanese subscribe to makes it all the easier for someone to make a Japanese character. It doesn't make a fleshed out character, of course, but it's a possible reason why someone would want to make such a character.

52. It seems to me that we're all obsessed with sex, but some of us channel it into other pursuits. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that fandom has rechanneled your interest in sex?

I'd agree. It's not like loli/shota is actually child porn, and the appeal of it might not even be the "children" characters to this person.

I'm female, that's why even I find it a bit puzzling that I go for material made for guys.

Anyway, as paperclipchains said above, it's not the child factor that makes it appealing to me... it's more like... I dunno. The way sex is presented, maybe.
