Huh (regarding the syringe). I just thought she was considering using it on herself (suicide) if the Reavers actually caught them instead of...you know. Being raped to death and then worn as clothes by the Reavers (or vice versa if she's not so lucky as Zoe might say).

Oh yeah, the scene that aired was just a plot hook, we have no idea whether that syringe would have been referenced again and as what if the show had been on longer.

When Fandom repeats this, a lot of people forget that this was just a story pitch that never even made it to script form. One idea from the Writer's Room and the show could very well have gone in another direction.
